Privacy
We keep as little as we can. Your photos stay on your phone, and we never record a viewing.
#Your photos
Your photos never leave your phone. That includes photos you add to a home without a listing, and photos from a brochure. We only note which photos belong to which home, and when they were taken. Listing photos are loaded from the portal.
#No recordings
We never record a viewing. When you talk about a viewing afterwards, your voice is turned into text and the recording isn't kept. On most iPhones that happens on the phone itself; on older ones Apple does it.
#What you said after a viewing
The text of what you said is kept in your account. If you allow AI (below), we sort it into likes, worries and questions. Only you can see your words. Your partner sees the summary, not your words.
#Using AI
Three things use AI: sorting what you said after a viewing, matching an agent's reply to your questions, and checking a seller's form against what you were told. The first time you do one of them, the app asks first.
- What's sent: your own text or the text of the form, with that home's listing details and your questions.
- Who processes it: our AI provider, Anthropic (United States). Nobody else.
- It isn't used to train AI models, and it isn't shared with agents.
Tap Allow and we won't ask again. Tap Not now and nothing is sent: what you said is saved as you wrote it, just not sorted, and a reply or form isn't read. We'll ask again next time. You can change your answer any time in Where you stand › Privacy, with "Use AI to sort my notes, agent replies and documents".
Deep dive also uses the sorted summary of your notes and the agent answers you've recorded, but only if you've tapped Allow. If you haven't, it works from the listing and public records alone. If you buy with a partner, the same goes for their notes.
Listing text and photos are always read by AI. That's how the app checks a home. When you add a brochure, only its text is sent to be read. Its photos and floor plans stay on your phone.
#Agent emails and seller's forms
Emails to agents go from your own Mail app. When you paste an agent's reply, we keep the answers matched to your questions, not the email itself. The seller's forms stay on your phone: we read the text there and keep only what it says.
#Your places and your position
The places you go often stay on your phone. Your buying position, budget and Agreement in Principle are kept so the app can use them, and your partner can see them. Your budget and AiP amount never go into emails to agents.
#Your account
The app creates an account for you automatically, without your name or email. We don't use third-party tracking. Your account is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, in Ireland, in the EU. The full list of who processes your data is in our privacy policy.
#Permissions
- Calendar: to add your viewings to your calendar.
- Microphone and speech: to turn a quick voice note after a viewing into text (on the phone itself on most iPhones).
- Photos: to match the photos you take at a viewing to the right home.
You can say no to any of them and still use the app.
#Census and fairness
Ethnicity and religion from the Census are shown in a closed section, for reference only. They're never used in any score, flag, question or summary in this app.
#Deleting your data
Go to Where you stand › Privacy › Delete my account and data. This deletes your homes, scores, notes and account. If you share a journey with a partner, their homes and scores stay with them. A subscription isn't cancelled by deleting your account: cancel it in your iPhone's Settings.
